Recent Development
The Turkish Medicines and Medical Devices Agency (the “TİTCK”) recently published the list of licensed products, available here (in Turkish). From now on, the TİTCK will regularly update and publish the licensed products list on their website.
What the announcement says
The TİTCK stated that for licensed products that do not appear on the licensed products list, companies should request their product be included in the updated list by September 29, 2017 by filling out and submitting the required forms available on the TİTCK’s website. A copy of the license certificate, along with the barcode approval and the barcode information, should be submitted along with the application.
The license of any product that is not placed on the licensed products list by September 29, 2017 will be invalidated. In addition, companies whose products have license certificates issued in the prior format should update their licenses by applying to the TİTCK by March 30, 2018.
Conclusion
The TİTCK continues to provide pharmaceutical companies detailed guidelines on the licensing process. Pharmaceutical companies should follow the regular updates of the licensed products list and take the necessary steps if their licensed products do not appear on the list.
