Recent Development
The Regulation on Amending the Regulation on Working Hours that cannot be Divided into Weekly Business Days entered into force with its publication in Official Gazette No. 31550 dated 27 July 2021 (“Regulation“).
What Does the Regulation say?
In the past, daily working time could not exceed 11 hours, time spent on nighttime work could not exceed 7.5 hours and the daily working time of drivers with professional and heavy vehicle licenses could not exceed 9 hours.
According to the Regulation, it is possible to increase the working hours of professional and heavy vehicle drivers to 10 hours twice a week.
Conclusion
The Regulation changes the daily working time of vehicle users with professional and heavy vehicle licenses.
