Esin Attorney Partnership is pleased to announce the appointment of Eren Kurşun as its new Managing Partner as of July 1, 2023.
Ismail Esin will continue to manage the Dispute Resolution department at Esin Attorney Partnership and will also continue to serve as a member of our office’s Executive Board.
Ismail Esin stated the following regarding the appointment: “I never defined myself as a founding partner; being the first intern of the office was more than enough for me. And life is actually a relay race. The only way to win this race is to hand over the flag to the right person at the right time and in the right way. I have the ultimate peace of mind; the flag will be in safe hands.”
Eren Kurşun stated the following regarding his appointment: “It is a great honour for me to be deemed worthy of this position and to take over from a doyen like Ismail Esin. As Managing Partner, I will act with the objective, and with the excitement, of overcoming all the challenges of today’s world with our business, our values and our corporate culture, all of which have grown and strengthened every year for 25 years. I will continue to evaluate all the opportunities the world offers in a way which is consistent with our understanding of leadership.”
About Eren Kurşun:
Eren graduated from Üsküdar American Academy in 2000 and from the Faculty of Law, Istanbul Bilgi University in 2004. He completed his MBA degree at Boğaziçi University in 2012.
Eren started his traineeship in a law firm specializing in maritime law in 2004 and was registered with the Istanbul Bar Association in 2005. He continued his career in a global law firm as of the same year. Focusing on mergers and acquisitions throughout his career, Eren was promoted to partnership in 2013 and moved to at Esin Attorney Partnership in 2014. Since 2016, he has been head of our office’s mergers and acquisitions group and is currently a member of our office’s Executive Board.
Eren has been ranked as “Tier 1” by Chambers & Partners, and named “Pioneer Leader” by The Legal 500 and “Respectable” by IFLR, leading international evaluation institutions in the legal sector. Under Eren’s management, our mergers and acquisitions group has been ranked as “Tier 1” by all evaluation institutions and selected as the law firm with the highest number of mergers and acquisitions in Türkiye by Mergermarket for seven consecutive years.
Eren is married with three children.
