Recent Development The Turkish Medicines and Medical Devices Agency (“TİTCK”) recently announced that Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) Certificates will be issued for the manufacturing sites of cosmetic products. What Does the Announcement Say? The TİTCK issues GMP Certificates for cosmetic manufacturing sites only for export purposes. Manufacturing sites deemed compliant with the GMP requirements are granted GMP Certificates valid for three years. In this scope, the manufacturing sites whose certificates expired or who have not obtained a GMP certificate may apply to the TİTCK by submitting the requisite documents and paying the application fee posted on the TİTCK’s website. Companies may also apply online through the TİTCK’s online application system. |
After reviewing the applications, the TİTCK will conduct inspections in accordance with the Cosmetics GMP Guide. Manufacturing sites found to be compliant with the technical requirements will be granted GMP Certificates.
